Suvina Motwani, a student of SVISG, secured first position in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan. She and Ms. Aarushi Sharma, PGT Chemistry, SVISG got the opportunity to visit INMAS DRDO. It was an amazing learning experience. We were able to learn as many activities as students. The objective of the event was to improve the scientific acumen of the students and providing a platform for the participants to interact, share their experiences and insights, solve challenges and popularize the exhibition among students and network with professionals in the field of Science. The resource person, Prof. Malika Pathak, Miranda House, University of Delhi conducted some practical activities like Crazy Balls, Invisible Ink etc. With this, students were able to learn chemistry in an interesting way. Students had the opportunity to tour the Center for Molecular Imaging and Research and observe the dissection of mice and the various equipment used, to trace the compound structure. We also had a once in a lifetime experience of witnessing the working of a cyclotron. Cyclotron is used in medicine to create radioactive tracer molecules that help physicians and researchers diagnose, observe and treat illnesses such as cancer.

Learning about the operation and execution of the tests as well as the intricacies about the same was really interesting and informative. It was a great learning experience for all the students and teachers who bagged an opportunity to be a part of this event.
