Vidya Daan Program
Certificate of Appreciation received from CBSE for recognizing the effort of our school for contributing appropriate, relevant and innovative content under the Vidya Daan Program 2019. The support material prepared in various subjects by the teachers of our school in order to promote experiential learning among students has been selected and uploaded on CBSE portal called ‘Vidyadaan’ on ‘Diksha’ App. This platform has been created with a vision to provide teachers multiple types of resources to aid them in teaching. The opportunity was availed by thirteen schools and only four schools were awarded certificate of appreciation from CBSE for contributing appropriate, relevant and innovative content under the ‘Vidyadaan’ program 2019.

Disaster Management
The School has prepared Disaster Management Manual as per guidelines of National Disaster Management Authority which is updated regularly. There is a School Disaster Response Team consisting of members of administration, teachers, and senior students. SVISG has a well-organised plan to create and nurture the culture of Disaster Management in school and prepare staff, students, and their parents to face the challenges as well as the threats due to natural and man-made disasters. We continuously work on it for capacity building, education, and training. The school has prepared an Exit Plan for any emergency which is displayed all over the school. Regular mock drills for various emergencies such as earthquakes and fires are conducted along with awareness programs in the assembly. Our participation in the National competition of ‘School Safety Plan’ resulted in our school safety plan being selected as one among the top 15 plans and awarded by the National Institute for Disaster Management, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. The Award comprised a Trophy, Certificate, and a Cash Prize of Rs. 25,000.
